This is the official SHARKS R US website! This website is meant to teach some basic concepts and demonstrate different ailities and adaptations sharks have. This site wishes to help people understand sharks better so that we may be able to better protect them from over-fishing. We have created a page touching on the different species there are and a page that gives the visitor insight into the different adaptations that sharks have developed.
Sharks are some of the most fearsome predators in the sea. They hunt everything from tiny krill to large sea lions! Sharks are fish that are a commonly feared animal. Sharks tend to prefer warm water. Some sharks love the open ocean while others stay near the shorelines of many different continents. Some travel across vast distances while some stay put. Sharks have very rough skin and a lot of sharp teeth and are always reading to eat!
